Just to tell you a little about my week, I am super pissed at one of my professors. He waited 3 weeks to grade my mid-term paper, and then gives me a damn 84! Wait... Did you hear me? An 84, I said!! Now, since I've been back in school I have maintained a 4.0 GPA. Needless to say, this is the lowest grade I have gotten in any class, and I just suffered through Toxicology for God's sake without getting an 84.

I seriously think this professor is on crack. He docks points for things that no other professor has. Sometimes he gives no explanation at all, and when he does explain his reasoning it's usually something lame. On a side note, if I don't finish the course with an "A" then I don't get 100% reimbursement from my company. I would seriously have to kill the professor if that happened. It's a good thing he doesn't live near me. And now I'm thinking I really need to do that Google remove-my-real-name-from-searches-thing that Stephanie and Sam told me I could do somehow. It would totally be my luck for my professor to find this post before the final grade went in.
Anyway, if you hadn't noticed I'm a thrives-on-immediate-feedback kinda gal, so his waiting that long to get back to me in the first place was enough to take. Then the grade whammy sure didn't make it any easier. Somehow I'll make it through like I always do, but I sure need to finish this class to get me away from this joker. Lord, PLEASE do not let him be teaching any of the classes I have left! I don't think I could take it.
To make myself feel better, I went on the Sears website yesterday to look at my dream washer and dryer again. For those who haven't been around since I mentioned it before, I want one of those new steam sets. (They say the dryer works as fast as the washer.) They were having a one day online only sale, and I got the set $500 cheaper than regular price! Soothing my pain apparently costs $1300 (after tax and stuff), but that's better than the $1800 it would normally be.
As you know from prior posts, I really don't care for laundry, but I figure I'll look about as stupidly happy as this lady for about the first month.

Now, I must get back to less enjoyable things, but I wanted to mention that two people think I'm funny enough to have given me an award. The thought just floors me, but I'm so excited! I'll fill you in on that later because I didn't want my first post of the week to be, "Hey, sorry I haven't been around but someone thinks I rock anyway!" Holy crap! I can't believe it's Thursday and this is my first post of the week. I'm beginning to think I don't rock so much as I suck this week. Now let me go try to catch up on what you all have been doing.

I seem to be in a perpetual state of doing laundry...ugh. Never seem to catch up.
Congrats on the award.

Yay for awards, but more importantly, yay for immediate steam-cleaning washing machine gratification!!
I effing HATE laundry and am just putting stuff away from OVER 3 weeks ago from when I got back from vacation. I hate laundry. SO yay for you!
Also? I had an asshole professor, too. A few of them, but one who made my life hell. I had 90s and this joker gave me 65 and failed me in something else because I filed a grievance against him for his conduct in class.
So... hang in there. Fighting it isn't worth it at all.
I hope it gets less stressful and he grades you more appropriately next time.
Seriously?... Reeeally??... Seriously?
Worst case, you can challenge his marking through your program administrator.
i am convinced that my laundry mates at night it's the only explanation for how it multiplies
OT.. Thanks!
CBG.. I'd give you his name now if I didn't think that would delay my final freaking grade even more than I know his slow behind will get it in now. But I can always count on your support! :)
ZP.. Amen to that! That's what the other post I referenced was about. It's a never ending cycle.
Stephanie.. Oh, just because I'll be happy to do laundry for a while (did I just say that?), that doesn't mean the stuff will get put away. Not likely! Thanks for the advice about the prof. I thought about doing something, but I'm afraid it will only hurt me worse in the long run.
becca.. I really think it's those missing socks that are the culprits for making it multiply. I mean, what are they doing when they aren't in the clothing rotation? I think they are plotting!
I love someone who is excited about cleaning appliances! We had a steaming dryer thingy when they first came out - it seems to leave everything damp. But that was years ago and I assume they have ironed out the tweaks!!
As a teacher, can I just say - your professor is a douche. You can't mark people down for no reason and there has to be a standard amongst all academics about things which are marked down. So...I reiterate...douche.
While you're in laundry bliss...will you do mine?
OK you paid 1300 bucks for a washer and dryer and they won't deliver until the 15th, now I'd have a prob with that..congrats on the award and on getting such a cool washer and dryer :)
My Psychology professor was a weird one. The first 3 weeks we didn't have a real lecture, but learned how to write a paper in APA style...
And I did good on the two midterms and final and my autism presentation.
And I think because I didn't do any extra credit, because we didn't really even cover the book therefore I didn't do the chapter outlines, she gave me a freaking B.
But whatever, I don't care, I'm never taking a class with her again.

I used to get riled up about A-'s or B+'s and argued with my teachers for higher grades. In other words, I feel your pain. Damn him.
Glad you'll be able to do laundry with pleasure. It will help you "wash it off." Sorry for the pun.
xoRobyn
congrats on your award and I hate hate laundry too, it sucks my will to live :)
Lottie.. I feel validated now. Thanks!
Chief.. This one time, just for you. :)
Jimmy.. I know, right? But I do live in a small town where Sears doesn't have a store so I think they only deliver to this area certain days of the month.
Adorkable.. I wish I had the choice of professors, but I get stuck with what they give me. That sucks that she did that to ya.
Robyn.. I just want what I think I deserve, especially when his reasons are stupid or non-existent. Thanks for the support.
lyndy.. Thanks! I guess I don't hate laundry as much as you do. LOL
