Some Linkage and Giveaways!

Okay, now that I wasted so much time trying to do something simple like set up a Facebook account, I think I got it done finally! Geez, Facebook was being testy about verifying my email address. It's hard enough to keep my personal, work, and blog emails straight without them messing with me about it! Anyway, you can go here to follow me there now.

If you aren't following me on Twitter, you should! I've been having some fun conversations over there lately with Canadian Blogger Girl, Amber, and Simple Dude. Well, it's mostly been us picking on him, but it's been fun anyway! So click on this to follow me so you don't miss out!
Speaking of CBG, she is having a giveaway on her blog, and she's got a bunch of exciting things going on over there. Go check her out and today you can even read a guest post by the crazy Simple Dude, too.

I've heard some blogging friends getting frustrated with losing followers lately. I have been lucky and haven't had that problem (and please tell me I didn't just jinx myself!), but I was wondering. What makes you leave someone you're following? Do they say things that offend you? I mean Average Girl had a FANTASTIC idea that involved a battle of the sexes on posts and she lost followers for it. What the ...? I didn't think any of my followers were that sensitive, but I could be wrong. Honestly, the only ones I think I've ever left are ones that I started following when I first got onto Blogger, and they just didn't interest me anymore. Seriously, you all aren't picky people, right? If so, I'm sure I'll offend you at some point. This is my stress free zone!

I finished up my classes last night. Yay! Unfortunately, I only get one week off before I have to start three more though. Geez, is it June yet? I am sooooo ready to be done with school. Now, if my slow ass professors will post my grades, I will be a bit happier.

Oh, Studio30Plus is having a giveaway for reaching 500 members, too. So click on my button over there, join us, and go sign up for the giveaway! It's a great little community that's coming together nicely.

Tomorrow, Bailey and I have a little surprise for ya. I think you'll all enjoy it, and we got a little help from Bruce and Tuck.

Final thought.. I think the Frito Lay guy who put these signs up in a store near me knew the Super Bowl was going to be shitty. What do you think?
Honestly, it was a good game. It was just not a good outcome for me and those who love me. *sigh*

The only people I have ever stopped following are the ones I thought I would like who never gave me the time of day so to say, with that said I always do my best to visit as many people as I can and hope if they don't like one of my posts they will just skip it and come back tomorrow because as you know the subjects change all the time.

True, Jimmy.. I did leave one person who I thought was a bit too snobbish for me and never acknowledged me at all. I mean, I know some people are already big shots when you find them, but some you can tell still appreciate you even if they don't reply to your posts. Make sense?

I am following a Fireman's blog and he was ranting about someone upsetting his wife and he used the 'retard' word which I hate as you can imagine but apart from asking him could he not have come up with a better word, I still follow him cos his blog is interesting!

I stop following people if I've lost interest. I don't worry about gaining or losing followers because that's not why I started blogging. If people want to join in, that's great. If people don't, that's fine, too. Along the way, I'll probably offend some folks, but that's kind of par for the course. :-)

Sorry your Steelers didn't pull through.
I'm about to follow you on twitter and fb.
Have a good one, Krissy.

lyndy... See? At least you spoke up about it and let him know you didn't like something he said. You didn't just dump him, and I'm sure he probably didn't mean it the way it sounded.

Bruce... Bailey is, too! Can't wait for the post tomorrow.

Soapbox.. Exactly! I speak my mind, and if you can't speak yours back at me without getting offended then that's not my problem. I respect everyone's opinion, and I expect them to return the favor. I hope everyone feels the same tomorrow for something I have planned.

Robyn.. Thanks! I'm so glad to find you elsewhere, too.

I stop following when the blog doesn't interest me or they haven't posted in 2+ months.

There was one person that stopped following me after I tried to be faithful and give them some sort of insight (mistake that I learned from) and mentioned the whole God bit.

Well he left two comments on that blog basically saying that he got sick of what I said and I think that's what did it. But I was ready for the move on because all his posts were depressing and really nothing I could relate to or have any fun reading anymore.

wheatgerm.. I used to be FB crazy on my personal account. I'm not as much now.

Adorkable.. I could see why you would turn away from someone like that. I mean, we all have down times when we post about serious stuff, but it doesn't last for lengths of time (for most of us).

Soooo I'm a proud-and-loud Steelers fan, but I was kinda relieved to see us lose. Used to be you told football fans you were a Steelers fan, people nodded and respected that. Steelers played good honest football, and no one outright hated them. Now? With their slew of football trophies and the wake of Roethlisberger, we've got a huge target. I just wanna go back to good honest football and not be That Team that everyone hates. I like rooting for the underdog, too...but damn it feels good to have a great team!

Nicki.. I'm definitely not liking the reaction we are getting from other fans lately. I don't know if it was good or bad for us to lose, but it sure hurt anyway. I am already sick of the Aaron Rodgers talk that has been non-stop since the SB though.
